You don't need to but we highly recommend you use the RoloCRM app for two reasons.

First, you will find it easier to add notes after a call or schedule an SMS.

The second reason is that automatic call and SMS logging works better this way. The reason is technical. In order for us to automatically log calls and SMS, RoloCRM must run in the background. Some newer phones aggressively kill background processes to optimize battery performance. This could impact automatic call and SMS logging. If you suddenly find that auto call and SMS logging has stopped working. For more details, click here.
